Physical Requirements: Lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 pounds; and sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time with repetitive motions (such as typing) etc
Shift: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm (40 hrs/week)
Job Summary: The Department of Kinesiology & Health Promotion in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking a highly motivated Biomedical Research Associate to support externally funded research programs at the intersection of biomechanics, computational modeling, and clinical science. This position will work closely with faculty investigators, trainees, and clinical collaborators to advance research in human movement and musculoskeletal health within the UK Human Biodynamics Lab. The successful candidate will contribute to both the technical and administrative aspects of research, including biomechanical data collection, computational modeling, and scientific writing. In addition, this individual will help coordinate and support daily operations within the Human Biodynamics Lab.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Minimum 2 years of experience with 3D motion capture, MATLAB, Microsoft Office, and finite element modeling
- History of peer-reviewed publications and presentations
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Kinesiology/Exercise Science, or a closely related field
- Phlebotomy certification is preferred
