Sales Intern Jobs in Charleston: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a sales intern job in Charleston?
Focus your search on Charleston's strongest hiring sectors: hospitality and events, commercial real estate, logistics and port services, and the growing tech scene along the Neck and in North Charleston. Employers in these industries hire interns year-round, not just in summer. A candidate who can show familiarity with Charleston's customer base, some CRM or outreach experience, and genuine interest in a local industry will stand out against generic applicants.
Which companies hire sales interns in Charleston?
Charleston sales intern roles are posted by CVS Health, Medical University of South Carolina, and ARCO a Family of Construction Companies and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Charleston's hiring mix tends toward mid-size regional companies, hospitality groups, and fast-growing startups rather than large national headquarters, so expect a range of company sizes and cultures.
Are there remote sales intern jobs in Charleston?
Yes, though sales intern roles skew toward in-person work since client interaction and shadowing are central to the learning experience. About 20% of sales intern openings tied to Charleston are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in SaaS, media, and inside sales where outreach happens by phone and email rather than in the field.
How can I get a sales intern job in Charleston with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Charleston is targeting hospitality groups, local tech startups, and property management firms, all of which regularly onboard entry-level interns for lead generation and client outreach tasks. College of Charleston and The Citadel career fairs connect students directly with Charleston employers hiring for these roles. Strong communication skills, a willingness to prospect, and any customer-facing work history, even retail or service jobs, carry real weight with local hiring managers.
