Duties

• Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets through effective coaching, training, and performance management
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals to increase revenue and market share
• Conduct employee orientation, interviewing, and recruiting efforts to build a high-performing team
• Manage daily store operations including inventory management, merchandising, pricing, and stock replenishment
• Oversee customer service standards ensuring a positive shopping experience for all clients
• Handle payroll, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and bookkeeping tasks accurately and efficiently
• Supervise shift management, scheduling, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations
• Utilize marketing techniques and retail math to optimize sales opportunities and improve store profitability
• Manage inventory control processes including purchasing, stock rotation, and shrink reduction strategies
• Provide leadership in training & development initiatives to enhance team skills in retail sales, merchandising, and customer engagement

Experience

• Proven management experience in retail sales or store management with a focus on team supervision and leadership roles
• Strong background in negotiation, customer service, and employee orientation practices
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting performance evaluations
• Skilled in retail math, pricing strategies, inventory management, POS systems, and cash handling procedures
• Demonstrated ability in marketing initiatives, merchandising techniques, and promotional planning
• Multilingual or bilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customer bases
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in organizational skills and time management
• Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in a grocery store or retail environment is highly desirable
