INTRODUCTION
We’re seeking a Senior Communications Specialist who combines strategic thinking with hands‑on marketing execution. This role partners closely with consulting and client service teams to plan, deliver, and measure client communications and marketing programs from strategy through execution. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in direct marketing, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a data‑driven approach to improving client engagement and demand generation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position brings a broad, practical understanding of communication best practices, marketing project planning, and client delivery to every engagement.
- Direct collaboration with clients to assess current communications and channel options, then recommend prioritized, measurable improvements.
- End-to-end ownership of marketing programs—annual communication calendars, multichannel campaigns, and stewardship plans—that align with client goals.
- Close coordination across internal teams and external vendors to manage campaign execution while maintaining brand standards, quality, and timelines.
- Acts as project manager to facilitate reviews between carriers, internal stakeholders, and clients, working closely with copywriters, designers, digital specialists, print production, and reporting & analytics to keep projects efficient and aligned.
- Preparation of client-facing materials and support for meetings, strategy workshops, and stewardship reviews with presentations, one-pagers, and status updates.
- Proactive identification of opportunities to grow client relationships through new communications initiatives and value-added services.
We will count on you to:
- Oversee the development and timely delivery of annual client communication calendars, ensuring each plan supports client priorities and business objectives.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute complex, multichannel marketing campaigns that align with client goals and drive measurable results.
- Lead and manage internal and external relationships as the project manager—setting expectations, monitoring quality, coordinating consulting, creative, digital, copywriting, design, print production, and analytics teams, and facilitating reviews between carriers, stakeholders, and clients to keep work efficient, aligned, and delivered on time and on budget.
- Produce polished client deliverables and presentations that clearly connect marketing activity to business outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients—balancing strategic insight with pragmatic, results‑oriented execution.
- Develop and manage annual client communications budgets—aligning spend to strategic priorities, providing recommendations to maximize ROI.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in consumer direct marketing and/or business-to-business direct marketing or equivalent in experience or demonstrated capabilities.
- Experience with project management, specifically managing both internal and client-facing work.
- Demonstrate excellence in written and oral communication to effectively present new concepts and drive outcomes.
- Persuasive negotiating skills as measured through ability to convince key internal and external stakeholders to approve and support firm-developed marketing strategies.
