Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to drive AI-enabled modernization of IBM i (iSeries/AS400) vulnerability patching and remediation processes. This role will focus on designing and implementing agent-based automation solutions that accelerate vulnerability remediation, improve operational efficiency, and reduce enterprise security risk. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development experience, hands-on expertise deploying AI agents and intelligent automation frameworks, and experience working with enterprise infrastructure environments. This individual will partner closely with infrastructure, security, and operations teams to build scalable automation solutions for vulnerability management and patch deployment.

Key Responsibilities

AI Agent Development & Automation:

- Design and develop AI-driven automation frameworks for IBM i (iSeries) vulnerability remediation and patch management.
- Build, deploy, and maintain agent-based workflows that automate vulnerability identification, remediation, and patching processes.
- Develop intelligent orchestration solutions to improve remediation speed, accuracy, and scalability.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, security tools, and infrastructure platforms.

Python Development:

- Develop scalable, maintainable, and production-ready applications using Python.
- Create automation services, APIs, and workflows supporting infrastructure and security operations.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance automation platforms to improve reliability and performance.

Infrastructure & Security Collaboration:

- Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to prioritize vulnerability remediation initiatives.
- Support patch deployment, testing, validation, and operational readiness activities.
- Help establish best practices for automated vulnerability management and remediation processes.

Platform Reliability & Operations:

- Ensure automation solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and operationally supportable.
- Monitor and improve performance of AI-driven remediation workflows.
- Participate in testing, validation, and continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

- 8–10+ years of professional Python development experience.
- Strong experience building enterprise-scale applications, automation frameworks, and APIs.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying:
- AI agents
- Agentic AI workflows
- Intelligent automation frameworks
- Autonomous or semi-autonomous systems
- Experience integrating LLMs, AI tools, or agent-based orchestration into business or infrastructure processes.
- Experience supporting IBM i (iSeries/AS400) environments.
- Knowledge of IBM i infrastructure, patching, installation, testing, and operational support.
- Hands-on Linux administration and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to support automation and deployment activities in Linux-based environments.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with agent-based or autonomous system architectures.
- Experience with vulnerability management and remediation workflows.
- Familiarity with IBM i vulnerability assessment and patching tools.
- Experience integrating AI-driven automation with infrastructure and security platforms.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and risk management processes.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments.

They should be comfortable building intelligent automation solutions that streamline vulnerability remediation, patch management, and operational workflows within IBM i (iSeries) environments while collaborating closely with infrastructure and security teams.
