Entry Level Senior Security Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level senior security consultant job?
Employers hiring at the entry level look for candidates with foundational knowledge in risk assessment, security frameworks, and compliance, often gained through coursework, internships, or certifications like CompTIA Security+ or Certified Ethical Hacker. A portfolio that shows hands-on lab work or a capstone project gives you a concrete edge. Tailoring your resume to each posting's listed tools and methodologies makes a real difference at this stage.
Which companies hire entry level senior security consultants?
Companies hiring entry level senior security consultants right now include EY, Deloitte, and Cognizant, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. At this level, you'll find openings at a mix of large consulting firms, managed security service providers, and enterprise organizations building out their security practices.
Are there remote entry level senior security consultant jobs?
Yes, though many roles at this level still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements so new hires can work closely with senior team members. About 31% of entry level senior security consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, so flexible options exist if your skills and availability align with what a given employer needs.
Are these new grad senior security consultant jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with little to no professional experience. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it lists zero to two years of experience as acceptable, counts internships or academic projects toward that requirement, or accepts a strong portfolio in place of full-time work history.
Which industries hire the most entry level senior security consultants?
Entry Level senior security consultant roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. These sectors drive hiring at the entry level because their regulatory requirements, client data obligations, and expanding threat surfaces create a steady need for consultants who can grow into the role quickly.
