Job Description
Are you passionate about creating programs that help employees thrive while supporting business growth? NSF is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director, Global Total Rewards to lead our global compensation, benefits, payroll, HR operations, and people systems strategy. In this highly visible leadership role, you'll partner with senior leaders across the organization to build rewarding employee experiences, modernize processes, and drive key transformation initiatives. This position reports directly to the Chief People Officer and is based in a hybrid work environment, with three days per week onsite at our Ann Arbor, Michigan headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Lead and evolve NSF's global Total Rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, payroll, recognition programs, executive compensation, and people solutions
- Ensure our programs remain competitive, equitable, and aligned with the needs of a global workforce
- Partner with Finance and business leaders on workforce planning, compensation modeling, and budgeting
- Oversee global payroll operations and benefits programs to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a positive employee experience
- Lead key transformation initiatives, including Workday implementation, payroll modernization, and process improvement efforts
- Drive automation and scalable solutions that improve data accuracy, operational efficiency, and employee experiences
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on compensation, benefits, workforce trends, and people operations strategy
Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with deep expertise in Total Rewards
- Proven experience in compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR operations leadership
- Experience designing and implementing global compensation and rewards programs
- Strong understanding of executive compensation and sales incentive plan design
- Experience leading large-scale HR transformation initiatives, such as HRIS implementations, payroll modernization, or process redesign
- Ability to translate complex data and business challenges into practical solutions
- Strong executive presence with the ability to present to senior leaders and Board-level audiences
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global, and highly collaborative environment
