This position offers an excellent opportunity to support all aspects of Ally Insurance's growing Dealer Reinsurance program from dealer enrollments to ongoing dealer reporting and account maintenance. Ally's Dealer Reinsurance program provides participating dealers the opportunity to share in the underwriting profit and investment income generated by VSC and GAP contracts that they originate on Ally Insurance's behalf. Dealers may establish their own reinsurance company or they may purchase stock in our available super captive reinsurance company. Ally Insurance's Financial Structures Operations team is responsible for the administration associated with the dealer-owned and super captive programs, including dealer enrollments and activations, cession statement production, trust account maintenance and draw downs, account reconciliations, payments and settlements, account terminations/commutations, as well as ongoing monitoring.
The Work Itself
- Approximately 75% of the role is managing monthly/quarterly operational processes and calculations for our dealer reinsurance portfolio and 25% would be interacting/influencing with the field, dealers or other stakeholders and/or working through projects to support strategic initiatives
- Developing key performance indicators; analyzing results and communicating with leadership.
- Maintaining other Financial Structures programs including program set-up, performance monitoring and reporting.
- Working with Accounting on reinsurance account reconciliations, year-end reporting, etc.
- Assisting with reinsurance dashboard maintenance Incorporating improvements to current dealer-facing reinsurance reporting
- Maintaining reinsurance company formation documents, monitoring warehoused accounts, creating and managing reinsurance configuration set-up, and producing dealer reinsurance and trust account agreements
- Supporting process improvement efforts, including creating desktop procedures
The Skills You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience
- High school Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years in customer service or financial services industry
- Skilled in data manipulation and analytics
- Experience in insurance or other financial services industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field preferred
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- High level of accountability and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
- Ability to take initiative and work as needed to ensure deadlines are met
- Effective at working independently and also collaboratively as part of a team
- Detail oriented with a high level of problem solving capability
- Intermediate+ user of MS Office, and PowerBI.

Base Pay Range: $70000 - $120000 USD
An individual's position in the range is determined by the specific role, the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
Incentive Compensation: This position is eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan.
