Social Media Coordinator – Marketing Department
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (may include occasional evenings/weekends for events)
Work Location: In person (Austin campus with travel to other campuses as needed)
Position Summary
CyberTex Institute of Technology is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven Social Media Coordinator to support the Marketing Department. This role is responsible for content creation, social media management, campaign development, and performance tracking across digital platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, highly skilled in design and content production, and capable of leveraging trends and analytics to grow engagement and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and publish engaging content (graphics, videos, captions, and campaigns) across social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
- Design marketing materials such as flyers, posters, digital ads, and email templates aligned with CIT brand guidelines
- Capture and edit photos and videos for organic and paid campaigns; attend campus events for content creation
- Develop and execute content calendars and campaigns for digital, print, and video channels
- Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, Shorts) using trending formats and audio to increase reach
- Write compelling marketing copy, captions, and scripts for multimedia content
- Manage and monitor social media accounts, ensuring consistent posting and audience engagement
- Analyze platform performance metrics (Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Analytics) and prepare monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations
- Use AI tools to support content creation, scheduling, and optimization
- Stay current on industry trends, platform updates, and best practices to continuously enhance strategy
- Collaborate with internal teams to align marketing efforts with institutional goals and enrollment initiatives
Qualifications
- Degree / Diploma in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) and tools such as Canva
- Experience with video production and editing, especially short-form content
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Bilingual and experience in an educational environment is a plus
Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
