Solutions Architect Jobs in Phoenix: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a solutions architect job in Phoenix?
Target Phoenix's strongest hiring pockets: cloud and managed services firms in the Tempe corridor, financial services companies concentrated Downtown, and the growing healthcare IT sector anchored around the medical campuses in Central Phoenix. Candidates who demonstrate hands-on AWS, Azure, or GCP architecture experience alongside the ability to lead client-facing pre-sales conversations stand out in this market. Building visibility at local tech meetups and the Arizona Technology Council events also helps.
Which companies hire solutions architects in Phoenix?
Companies currently hiring solutions architects in Phoenix include VIVA, PetSmart, and SmartRent, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Phoenix attracts a mix of large enterprise employers, regional financial institutions, and managed service providers, all of which maintain dedicated solutions architecture teams.
Are there remote solutions architect jobs in Phoenix?
Yes, though availability depends on specialization, as roles tied to on-site infrastructure or data center work tend to require a local presence, while cloud architecture and pre-sales positions are frequently remote-eligible. About 78% of solutions architect openings tied to Phoenix are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting broader cloud adoption across the market. Cloud-focused and vendor-aligned roles in Phoenix's fintech and healthcare IT sectors show the highest remote flexibility.
How can I get a solutions architect job in Phoenix with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Phoenix is moving laterally from a systems engineer, pre-sales engineer, or cloud support role at one of the many managed service providers or technology resellers based in the Tempe and Chandler corridors. These employers regularly hire associate-level candidates and develop them toward architecture responsibilities. Earning a vendor certification in AWS, Azure, or Cisco strengthens your application considerably, and Phoenix's active tech community provides networking opportunities that frequently lead to referrals at local firms.
Which industries hire the most solutions architects in Phoenix?
Phoenix solutions architect roles concentrate in Technology & Software, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Phoenix's position as a major financial services hub, combined with its rapid growth in healthcare systems and cloud-first technology companies, drives consistent demand for architects who can design enterprise-scale infrastructure across those verticals.
