We are seeking an experienced Regulatory & Statistical Reporting Manager, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of statistical and financial data to various bureaus and state insurance departments, and other rating organizations for all lines of commercial insurance. The selected individual will be a hands-on leader, ensuring compliance with all external bureau reporting requirement deadlines. Key responsibilities include establishing and monitoring procedures and controls to ensure data quality for automated and manual filings reported to states and regulatory bureaus. Works closely with Information Technology, Product Management, Claims, Underwriting, and other departments in developing the required data systems and procedures needed for regulatory and statistical reporting. The manager’s role will ensure collaborative communication and decision making, as well as lead, mentor and manage others. Preferred location is Home Office in Sarasota, FL, or may be located in our Southwest Regional office in Richardson, TX.
COMPENSATION
- Salary range: $103,360-$159,175 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Six or more years work experience with a commercial Property and Casualty Insurance carrier performing statistical/regulatory reporting.
- Two or more years in a supervisory role leading others in statistical/regulatory reporting.
- Ability to plan and coordinate work assignments and manage staff or matrix resources as required.
- Advanced knowledge of property & casualty insurance, workers' compensation, Excess and Surplus, and surety.
- Advanced knowledge of Verisk/ISO reporting, including edit package.
- Advanced knowledge of WC bureau reporting, including aggregate financial data calls, unit statistical reporting, medical data call reporting, and indemnity data call reporting.
- Advanced understanding of commercial P&C regulatory reporting policies and laws.
- Experience responding to inquiries from state insurance departments and insurance bureaus, verifying and handling assessments, and developing and maintaining contact with bureau and state regulatory personnel at ISO, NCCI, state insurance departments and bureaus.
- Must have experience researching and analyzing regulatory bulletins, circulars, and data requests to prepare and submit reports and data calls for ISO, NCCI, state insurance departments and bureaus, as well as overseeing these functions for the unit.
- Must be able to convert legal requirements into business operations and financial and IT systems requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in working with numbers.
- Solid working knowledge of auditing principles and practices.
- Solid working knowledge of Electronic Data Processing (EDP) systems and database structures.
- Knowledge of Financial Statements (Annual Statements, Statutory Page 14’s, and Insurance Expense Exhibits) desired.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with others as a team player as well as independently on individual tasks and projects.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to achieve results within and across diverse organizational units and disciplines.
- Strong sense of individual ownership and accountability.
- Experience with SQL, reporting platforms such as Cognos or Power BI, and Data Warehouses or Data Lakehouses such as Databricks or Snowflake.
- Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain effective working relationships; possess excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills for data collection and reporting.
