The Senior Manager of Supply Chain Data & Analytics leads Supply Chain reporting and analytics across the organization, overseeing report development, enhancements, ongoing support, and continuous improvement. This role manages a team of leads and analysts, and ensures accurate, timely delivery of reporting, KPI visibility, and actionable insights that support operational performance and business decision-making.
This leader partners closely with Supply Chain leadership, cross-functional business teams, and IT to translate business needs into scalable data and analytics solutions, proactively manage priorities and risks, and drive work through completion. In addition to leading reporting delivery and support, this role strengthens team capability, advances self-service and data governance practices, and influences technology decisions, source migration, data mapping, and reporting platforms. This individual also helps identify and influence advanced analytics opportunities that improve supply chain decision-making, operational efficiency, and long-term analytics maturity.
YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH THESE GOALS BY:
- Lead the end-to-end Supply Chain reporting portfolio, including intake, requirements, development, deployment, support, and continuous improvement.
- Lead, coach, and develop managers, lead analysts, and senior analysts across the SCDA team.
- Serve as the lead of the SCDA leadership team and help define go forward strategy for Data & Analytics.
- Partner with Supply Chain leadership to prioritize and reprioritize reporting and analytics needs based on business value, risk, and capacity.
- Ensure production support issues and defects are resolved within SLA and that communication to Supply Chain leadership is timely and aligned.
- Build and manage external partnerships, including academic or industry partners, to advance analytics capabilities within Supply Chain.
- Develop advanced analytics capability and technical skillsets across the analyst team.
- Oversee the design and development of data models that support Supply Chain reporting and analytics needs.
- Oversee the creation and enhancement of reports, dashboards, and KPI solutions that inform Supply Chain performance and decision-making.
- Partner with business teams to gather, document and maintain business requirements that will inform data modeling decisions.
- Partner with IT to define data and system requirements needed to support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
- Identify business information needs and translate them into data, reporting, and system requirements that improve decision-making.
- Define, implement, and monitor KPIs for the Data & Analytics team to measure delivery, support, and team performance.
- Stay current on emerging data, analytics, BI, and supply chain technology trends through external networking, professional organizations, industry forums, and ongoing learning.
- Evaluate business requirements and existing processes to identify opportunities for improved analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency.
- Support broader organizational goals by taking on new responsibilities, driving cross-functional initiatives, and identifying opportunities to add value across the team.
- Continuously evolve team capabilities, tools, and processes by introducing and scaling leading practices in data, analytics, and reporting.
- Manage the relationship with technology providers to ensure application enhancements, customization, and new releases meet Ulta’s needs
:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Supply Chain, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in data and analytics, information technology, retail supply chain, consulting, or related business environments.
- 3+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers, analysts, or cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading reporting, analytics, or BI functions in a complex business environment, preferably supporting Supply Chain or Retail operations.
- Hands-on experience with modern analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP)/BigQuery, SQL, Python, Databricks, and related cloud data platforms.
- Strong technical aptitude and experience with relational databases, data models, and enterprise data environments.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into reporting, analytics, data, and system requirements, and partner effectively across business, operations, and IT teams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead intake, prioritization, and delivery across multiple workstreams while adapting to shifting priorities, timelines, and business needs.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including proactive communication, risk escalation, delegation, coaching, and accountability.
- Interest in or experience identifying advanced analytics opportunities that improve decision-making, operational efficiency, and data maturity; exposure to AI/ML platforms such as Vertex AI is a plus.
- Travel – Minimal ~ 5%
- Ability to work long hours and weekends during critical periods.
: The pay range for this position is $119,300.00 - $185,000.00 / Year with the opportunity for eligible associates to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
