INTRODUCTION
Darigold is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Supply Planner to join our team. The Senior Supply Planner serves as the orchestrator of Darigold’s supply network, aligning supply, demand and inventory to deliver best-in-class customer service while optimizing network performance. This role requires a deep understanding of Darigold’s milk flows, product portfolio and plant capabilities – translating that knowledge into actionable plans that keep the network balanced from farm to customer.
Operating across both tactical and strategic horizons, the Senior Supply Planner manages the 13-week master production schedule that drives short-term execution of production and deployment decisions, while also providing critical input to the 4–24-month supply and capacity plans that shape Darigold’s medium-term production strategy, capital planning and organizational decision-making.
Darigold is the fifth largest dairy cooperative in the United States based on milk volume and one of the largest privately held organizations headquartered in the state of Washington. Since 1918, our producers have taken pride in producing dairy products with unsurpassed quality. Today, we are one of the nation's largest agricultural cooperatives, producing over 8.5 billion pounds of milk every year.
Through innovative technology and our efficient, flexible production capabilities, we deliver value-added products and customer-driven solutions. Darigold is now known throughout the world for bringing fresh, wholesome dairy products and ingredients from the Northwest to people all around the globe.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Lead analysis and decision recommendations to resolve imbalances across demand, supply and inventory, demonstrating ownership of scenario planning and trade-off management between service, inventory and capacity utilization in a dynamic environment.
- Maintain visibility to inventory at a daily, warehouse and order level, balancing customer priorities against manufacturing and logistics constraints.
- Develop and update intermediate-range supply and capacity plans (4–24 months) with operations collaboration to guide the organization’s outlook on network load, plant utilization and product mix.
- Translate demand forecasts and production plans into executable deployment and replenishment schedules across Darigold’s manufacturing and warehouse network.
- Partner with operations, logistics and commercial teams to anticipate and resolve supply constraints, shifting milk flows or production priorities as needed.
- Analyze inventory, fill rate and attainment-to-schedule performance, identifying risks and root causes and driving corrective actions.
- Provide insight and recommendations into the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Integrated Tactical Planning (ITP) processes, connecting daily planning decisions to long-term network strategy.
- Coach and mentor less-experienced planners, fostering technical skill growth and business acumen through regular reviews, scenario planning exercises and shared problem-solving.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives and lead efforts related to improving planning accuracy, inventory efficiency and system capabilities.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations or related field; 3–5 years of experience in supply, production or materials planning preferred.
- MBA or equivalent post-secondary degree reflecting advanced understanding of supply chain planning, operations and business strategy is preferred.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to interpret data and apply judgment to complex supply challenges.
- Deep curiosity about how the Darigold network functions — understanding milk sourcing, product flows and regional interdependencies.
- Experience managing trade-offs between service, inventory and capacity utilization in a dynamic environment.
- Effective communicator who builds alignment across Manufacturing, Commercial and Logistics teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power Query, Power BI and/or planning systems (e.g., SAP, OMP, Kinaxis).
- APICS CPIM certification or equivalent is preferred.
