Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Screen Printing Graphic Designer to join our team at Pro-Am Team Sports! The ideal candidate will have experience in designing artwork for screen printing and embroidery, with a strong understanding of color separations, vector graphics, and production-ready files. This role required creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments to bring our clients' visions and designs to life. You must move at a fast pace and be able to work and occasionally stand in a warehouse environment.
We are looking for a pro-active, strong team player that can follow details and multi task.
Minimum - 3-5 years minimum in a screen printing environment or similar warehouse manufacturing production setting is ideal.
Pay is based on experience
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create original, high-quality designs tailored for screen printing and embroidery applications.
- Perform accurate color separations and ensure all artwork is optimized and ready for printing.
- Modify and clean up existing artwork to meet specific production requirements.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand design needs and expectations.
- Ensure proper file organization, version control, and archiving for all artwork.
- Assist in testing and refining designs to improve print quality and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, techniques, and emerging design software.
- Troubleshoot design and print-related issues to maintain consistency and quality.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Design and Illustration:
- Creating original designs, illustrations, and layouts for various screen printing projects.
- File Preparation:
Converting designs into print-ready formats, including vector images and color separations.
- Film Creation:
Preparing stencils on velum film for screen printing, which involve creating the artwork on a mesh screen to allow ink to be transferred.
- Software Proficiency:
Utilizing graphic design software Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit designs.
- Color Management
Understanding color theory and managing colors accurately for printing.
- Communication with Clients:
Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and translate them into visual designs.
- Knowledge of Printing Processes:
Understanding different screen printing techniques and materials.
- Creativity and Problem-Solving: Possessing strong creative skills and the ability to solve design problems effectively.
- Film Creation:
Preparing stencils on velum film for screen printing, which involve creating the artwork on a mesh screen to allow ink to be transferred.
- Software Proficiency:
Utilizing graphic design software Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create and edit designs.
- Color Management:

- Previous experience in the apparel or custom merchandise industry is highly desirable.
