Entry Level Technical Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level technical consultant job?
Entry level technical consultant roles reward candidates who can demonstrate practical problem-solving, not just coursework. Employers at this level look for exposure to systems analysis, client communication, or process improvement, often through internships, capstone projects, or self-directed work. Tailoring your resume to highlight those concrete examples, even from academic settings, gives you a genuine edge over candidates who list responsibilities without outcomes.
Which companies hire entry level technical consultants?
Companies hiring entry level technical consultants right now include EY, Deloitte, and TIMAC AGRO USA, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of large consulting firms building analyst pipelines, mid-size technology companies expanding their client services teams, and specialized practices that prefer training candidates from the ground up.
Are there remote entry level technical consultant jobs?
Yes, though the majority of entry level roles still prefer on-site or hybrid arrangements because of the hands-on client and team exposure they provide. About 52% of entry level technical consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, so candidates who need location flexibility will find real options in the current market alongside the on-site majority.
Are these new grad technical consultant jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with zero to two years of experience. A new grad friendly posting typically signals this by accepting internships or co-ops in place of full-time history, listing a portfolio or academic project as equivalent experience, or omitting minimum years of experience entirely. Recent graduates and career changers with relevant project work are competitive applicants.
Which industries hire the most entry level technical consultants?
Entry Level technical consultant roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because they rely on consultants to bridge technical and business teams, and they find it practical to bring in entry level talent and develop product and process knowledge on the job.
