Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as an Engagement Lead
Frame your credentials around Management Consultant
TN visa sponsorship for Engagement Lead roles flows through the Management Consultant category. Your resume and degree documentation must show a direct connection between your credentials and client-facing consulting work, not just team leadership.
Target employers with recent visa filing experience
Companies experienced with visa sponsorship for Management Consultant roles are already familiar with work visa processes. Searching for employers with recent visa filings in similar roles helps you identify those sponsors without cold-starting the conversation.
Use Migrate Mate to filter for verified TN sponsors
Not every Engagement Lead posting comes with confirmed sponsorship. Migrate Mate surfaces roles at employers with recent visa filings and demonstrated experience with work visa sponsorship, so you spend time on applications that can actually proceed to an offer.
Prepare a role-specific support letter before the offer stage
Your offer letter must describe the Engagement Lead duties in terms that map to Management Consultant specialty criteria. Ask the hiring manager to include client advisory scope, deliverables, and required degree field before you submit any TN documentation.
Understand the Canadian and Mexican processing difference
Canadian citizens can present TN documentation directly at a U.S. port of entry with same-day decisions. Mexican citizens must schedule a consular appointment, which adds weeks to the timeline, so factor that into your start-date negotiation.
Request employer confirmation of E-Verify enrollment early
Federal contractors and many mid-to-large consulting firms are required to use E-Verify. Confirming enrollment before your start date avoids last-minute delays that can affect your Form I-9 completion and TN status activation.

Find Engagement Lead JobsEngagement Lead TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does an Engagement Lead role qualify for TN visa status?
Yes, if the role's core duties align with the Management Consultant specialty occupation category under USMCA. The position must involve advisory or consulting services for clients, require a relevant bachelor's degree or higher, and be described in the offer letter using language that reflects those consulting functions rather than general people management.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for an Engagement Lead?
TN sponsorship for an Engagement Lead is significantly more straightforward than H-1B. There is no annual lottery, no cap for Canadian citizens, and Canadian applicants can receive approval at a U.S. port of entry the same day. H-1B requires a March registration, a random selection, and months of USCIS processing. For roles that fit the Management Consultant category, TN is the faster path.
What documentation does my employer need to prepare for TN sponsorship?
Your employer needs to provide a formal support letter on company letterhead that describes your Engagement Lead duties, confirms the position requires a relevant degree, and states your TN category as Management Consultant. For Canadians, you'll present this letter at the U.S. port of entry; for Mexicans, at a U.S. consulate. The TN visa process doesn't involve filing requirements with the Department of Labor—your employer's support letter is the key documentation needed to establish your eligibility.
Where can I find Engagement Lead jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters Engagement Lead postings by employer visa sponsorship experience, so you can focus on companies with a track record of supporting work visa candidates. General job boards list thousands of postings without any indication of whether an employer has experience with visa sponsorship, making your search far less efficient.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN sponsorship for an Engagement Lead position?
Yes, but the process differs from the Canadian path. Mexican citizens must apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate in Mexico rather than at a port of entry. The USMCA allocation for Mexican TN visas is limited, and consular appointment wait times vary by location. Building extra time into your start-date negotiation with the employer is practical given this timeline.
