Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Verify your certification before applying
TN officers expect Nuclear Medicine Technologists to hold ARRT or NMTCB certification alongside your degree. Confirm your credentials are current and match the job description before submitting any application to a sponsoring employer.
Target hospitals with imaging center partnerships
Large health systems running affiliated outpatient imaging centers file TN support letters more routinely than independent clinics. Search for roles posted under radiology or imaging departments, where TN paperwork is a known part of the hiring workflow.
Request a support letter covering your specific modalities
Your employer's TN support letter must describe the role in specialty occupation terms. Ask HR to specify PET, SPECT, or radiotracer administration duties explicitly. Generic letters citing only 'imaging technologist' have drawn additional scrutiny at ports of entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find employers already sponsoring TN roles
Filtering for employers with recent visa filings cuts wasted outreach significantly. Migrate Mate surfaces Nuclear Medicine Technologist roles from employers experienced with work visa sponsorship, so you spend less time educating HR on the TN process and documentation requirements.
Understand the Mexican TN allocation before your consulate appointment
Mexican citizens apply at a U.S. consulate and face a separate TN allocation. Scheduling delays can extend your timeline by several weeks, so secure your job offer and gather all documents before booking your appointment.
Clarify status maintenance if your employer changes sites
If your health system reassigns you to a different facility or affiliate, USCIS treats a material change in worksite as a new TN trigger. Confirm with HR whether a fresh support letter or CBP notification is required before the transfer takes effect.

Find Nuclear Medicine Technologist JobsNuclear Medicine Technologist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Nuclear Medicine Technologist qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes. Nuclear Medicine Technologists qualify under the USMCA TN Medical/Allied Professional category. You need a baccalaureate or licenciatura degree in nuclear medicine technology or a closely related field, plus a qualifying job offer from a U.S. employer. ARRT or NMTCB certification strengthens the application, though the degree requirement is the statutory basis.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, so you can secure status at a port of entry the same day your employer provides a support letter. H-1B requires entering a randomized lottery with no guarantee of selection. For Nuclear Medicine Technologists with a qualifying degree, TN is a faster and more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Where can I find Nuclear Medicine Technologist jobs with TN sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles under USMCA, including Nuclear Medicine Technologist positions. Searching through Migrate Mate lets you filter for employers already familiar with TN sponsorship, which reduces time spent educating recruiters who haven't encountered the visa category before.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer must provide a support letter on company letterhead that describes the professional role, confirms your credentials meet TN requirements, and states that the position is a specialty occupation under USMCA. The letter should reference your specific duties, such as PET or SPECT imaging, and confirm the terms of employment including start date and duration.
Can I switch employers while working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on TN status?
Yes, but your TN status is tied to the specific employer named in your approval. Before starting with a new employer, you need a new TN, either by applying at a port of entry with the new support letter or through USCIS. Migrate Mate can help you identify new TN-sponsoring employers if you're planning a transition. Working for an unapproved employer before the new TN is granted puts your status at risk.
