Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Project Scheduler
Frame your credentials around engineering functions
TN classification for Project Schedulers depends on engineer-category eligibility. Your resume and cover letter should emphasize technical scheduling tools, CPM analysis, and project controls work rather than general coordination duties that could be classified outside TN scope.
Request an offer letter with TN-specific language
Your employer's offer letter must describe your role in terms that match the TN engineer category. Ask HR to specify scheduling methodologies, software platforms, and the technical nature of your project controls duties, not just your job title.
Target construction, energy, and infrastructure employers
Project Scheduler roles in capital-heavy industries like oil and gas, infrastructure, and large-scale construction carry clearer TN qualification because the scheduling function is explicitly technical. These sectors have established processes for supporting TN applicants at entry.
Use Migrate Mate to find TN-ready Project Scheduler roles
Migrate Mate filters Project Scheduler openings by employers with recent visa filings, saving you from applying to roles where you'll need to educate HR from scratch about TN eligibility requirements and documentation.
Prepare a technical duties memo for Canadian border entry
Canadian citizens presenting TN applications at a port of entry have minutes to make their case. A one-page technical summary of your scheduling systems experience, software certifications, and project scope gives the CBP officer clear grounds for approval on the spot.
Understand Mexican citizens' consular appointment timeline
Mexican professionals cannot use the Canadian border-entry process. You'll apply at a U.S. consulate and should build four to eight weeks into your start date to account for appointment availability and administrative processing before your TN status begins.

Find Project Scheduler JobsProject Scheduler TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Project Scheduler role qualify for TN visa status?
It depends on how your duties are defined. TN classification for Project Schedulers typically falls under the engineer category, which requires that your work centers on technical scheduling systems, critical path analysis, and project controls rather than general administrative coordination. An offer letter that clearly articulates the technical engineering function of your role is essential for a successful TN application.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Project Scheduler roles?
The TN visa has no lottery, no annual cap for Canadians, and can be approved at a U.S. port of entry on the same day you present. The H-1B requires employer sponsorship months in advance, entry into a randomized lottery, and a wait until October 1 of the fiscal year. For Canadian Project Schedulers with a qualifying offer, TN is a faster and more predictable path than the H-1B process.
Where can I find Project Scheduler jobs with TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa job seekers. It surfaces Project Scheduler openings from employers with recent visa filings, indicating they're experienced with visa sponsorship processes. Searching through a general job board means you'll often encounter listings where the employer has never sponsored work visas and may not be prepared to support a TN application.
Can I apply for TN status at the border as a Canadian Project Scheduler?
Yes. Canadian citizens can present their TN application at a U.S. port of entry without a prior visa appointment. You'll need your employer's offer letter describing your technical scheduling duties, proof of your engineering or related degree, and any relevant certifications. CBP officers adjudicate TN applications on-site, and most decisions are made the same day if your documentation is complete.
What happens to my TN status if my project ends or my employer changes?
TN status is tied to a specific employer and job function. If your project wraps up and your employment ends, your TN authorization ends with it. Changing employers requires a new TN application based on the new offer. Canadian citizens can apply at the border for the new role; Mexican citizens need a new consular appointment. Plan your transition timeline accordingly and don't wait until your last day to start the process.
