Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Talent Acquisition Consultant
Frame your credentials around consulting deliverables
TN approval under the Management Consultant category turns on whether your role involves providing expert advice, not just executing HR tasks. Gather offer letters and job descriptions that emphasize analytical and advisory functions, not administrative recruiting duties.
Target employers with dedicated immigration support teams
Mid-size and enterprise companies with in-house HR legal teams process TN sponsorships faster and with fewer documentation gaps. Ask recruiters directly whether their team has handled TN filings before accepting an offer.
Request a consulting-framed offer letter before filing
The offer letter is your primary TN evidence. Ask your employer to describe the role in terms of organizational analysis, talent strategy recommendations, and advisory outcomes rather than requisition management or sourcing execution.
Use Migrate Mate to filter roles with active TN sponsorship
Not every Talent Acquisition posting comes with visa support. Search Migrate Mate to surface employers already set up to sponsor TN visas, so you're not spending weeks pursuing roles that stall at the offer stage.
Prepare degree equivalency documentation early if Mexican-trained
Mexican professionals applying at a U.S. consulate must demonstrate that their credential meets the bachelor's degree standard required for Management Consultant. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-member agency before your consulate appointment.
Clarify TN renewals with your employer before your start date
TN status is granted in three-year increments and requires employer re-sponsorship at renewal. Confirm your employer understands the renewal obligation so there's no gap in authorization when your initial period expires.

Find Talent Acquisition Consultant JobsTalent Acquisition Consultant TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Talent Acquisition Consultant role actually qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but the job description has to hold up. TN visas for this role fall under the Management Consultant category, which requires that you provide expert advice to organizations rather than perform routine recruiting tasks. If your offer letter reads more like an HR coordinator role than a consulting engagement, a CBP officer may push back. Get the framing right before you arrive at the port of entry.
How does TN compare to H-1B for Talent Acquisition Consultant roles?
TN is significantly more practical for this role. H-1B requires entering an annual lottery with roughly a 25% selection rate, then waiting up to a year before you can start work. TN has no lottery, no cap for Canadians, and Canadians can activate status at the border the same day. The trade-off is that TN doesn't lead directly to a green card the way H-1B can, but for immediate employment it's far more predictable.
What documents does my employer need to provide for my TN application?
Your employer needs to provide a support letter on company letterhead that describes your job title, duties in consulting terms, your qualifications, the duration of employment, and your compensation. For Canadians applying at a port of entry, this letter plus your Canadian passport and degree credential is typically sufficient. Mexicans also need a valid DS-160, consulate appointment, and the MRV fee payment.
Where can I find Talent Acquisition Consultant jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Most general job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship type, which means you spend significant time pursuing roles that won't work for your situation. Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa job seekers and surfaces employers already set up to sponsor, so you can focus your search on companies that will actually follow through on the offer.
Can Mexican Talent Acquisition professionals face additional barriers compared to Canadians?
Yes. Mexicans apply through a U.S. consulate rather than at a land port, which adds scheduling time and a formal interview. The consulate also scrutinizes the Management Consultant classification more closely, so your documentation needs to be complete and your role description must clearly demonstrate advisory rather than operational functions. Credential evaluations from NACES-member agencies are strongly recommended for Mexican-trained applicants.
