Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Talent Acquisition Specialist
Align your credentials to HR management
TN classification for this role falls under Human Resources Manager, not a standalone recruiting category. Ensure your degree is in human resources, business administration, or a related field, and that your job offer reflects HR management responsibilities.
Target employers with dedicated HR functions
Companies large enough to have an internal HR or talent team are more likely to understand TN sponsorship paperwork. Filter your search by employer size and look for postings that list a structured HR department rather than a generalist people-ops role.
Request a support letter that maps duties to TN criteria
Your employer's support letter must connect your Talent Acquisition duties to the Human Resources Manager category. Ask HR or legal to explicitly describe how your role involves planning, directing, or coordinating staffing and workforce functions.
Verify the offer letter matches your TN petition
Discrepancies between your offer letter title and your TN petition description are a common cause of delays. Before submission, confirm your job title, employment start date, and work location in the offer letter match the TN support documentation exactly.
Search for TN-ready roles using Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find Talent Acquisition Specialist jobs where employers are already familiar with TN sponsorship. Filtering by TN-ready employers saves time you'd otherwise spend educating HR teams unfamiliar with USMCA professional categories.
Canadians can activate TN status at the port of entry
If you're a Canadian citizen, you don't need a visa stamp or consular appointment. Present your offer letter, support documentation, and proof of citizenship at a U.S. land border or preclearance airport, and CBP can grant TN status on the spot.

Find Talent Acquisition Specialist JobsTalent Acquisition Specialist TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Talent Acquisition Specialist role qualify for a TN visa?
Yes, but only if the role is classified under the Human Resources Manager category, which is the applicable USMCA professional category. Your job duties must reflect HR management functions such as directing staffing strategy, overseeing recruiting operations, or coordinating workforce planning. A purely administrative or coordinator-level role may not satisfy the classification standard CBP applies.
How does TN visa sponsorship compare to H-1B for this role?
TN visa sponsorship is faster and more predictable for Talent Acquisition Specialists than H-1B. There is no lottery, no annual cap for Canadian citizens, and no multi-month USCIS petition wait. Canadian professionals can receive TN status at a port of entry the same day. H-1B requires a lottery selection, a formal USCIS petition, and typically a wait of several months before work authorization begins.
What documentation does an employer need to sponsor a TN visa for this role?
Your employer must provide a signed support letter on company letterhead describing your job title, duties, salary, and the basis for TN classification under the Human Resources Manager category. Some employers also include an organizational chart showing where your role sits within the HR function. No USCIS filing is required for Canadian citizens; the support letter goes directly to CBP at the port of entry.
Where can I find Talent Acquisition Specialist jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Canadian and Mexican professionals seeking U.S. roles with TN visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through generic job boards and guessing at employer sponsorship willingness, Migrate Mate lets you search by visa type and role so you reach employers who already understand the TN process for HR and talent roles.
Can a Mexican citizen get TN sponsorship for a Talent Acquisition Specialist role?
Yes, Mexican citizens qualify for TN status under the same Human Resources Manager category, but the process differs from the Canadian path. Mexican nationals must apply for a TN visa at a U.S. consulate rather than at a port of entry, which requires scheduling a consular interview. Processing times vary by consulate location and appointment availability, so planning ahead is necessary.
