Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding TN Visa Sponsorship as a Workday Consultant
Align your credentials to the TN occupational category
Workday Consultant roles are classified under Management Consultant for TN purposes. Your resume and degree transcripts must reflect strategic advisory or systems implementation work, not just technical support, so your TN documentation accurately represents your actual job duties.
Target employers with established Workday practices
Focus your search on Big Four firms, regional consultancies, and enterprise companies with dedicated Workday Human Capital Management or Financials practices. These employers have internal immigration counsel familiar with TN documentation and won't need to be walked through the process.
Request a TN support letter before accepting an offer
Before signing, confirm your employer will provide a detailed TN support letter specifying your job title, duties, and the Management Consultant classification. Vague letters citing only 'IT consulting' have caused CBP denials at the border for Workday roles.
Use Migrate Mate to surface TN-ready Workday employers
Search Migrate Mate to find Workday Consultant openings at employers already experienced with TN sponsorship. Filtering by TN visa history saves time and avoids educating hiring managers who've never sponsored a cross-border professional.
Prepare for Canadian border entry with a complete packet
As a Canadian citizen, you can get TN status at a land port of entry or preclearance airport on the day of entry. Bring your offer letter, support letter, degree credentials, and any Workday certifications. CBP officers decide on the spot, so gaps in documentation stall approval immediately.
Clarify your TN classification before the border/consulate interview
Some HR teams incorrectly try to classify Workday Consultants under Computer Systems Analyst rather than Management Consultant. These are distinct TN categories with different supporting documentation requirements. If your employer files the support letter under the wrong classification, it can delay your port-of-entry presentation or consulate appointment and push back your start date.

Find Workday Consultant JobsWorkday Consultant TN Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Does a Workday Consultant role qualify for TN visa sponsorship?
Yes, Workday Consultant positions qualify under the TN visa's Management Consultant category, provided your role involves advising clients on business processes, system implementation strategy, or organizational change rather than routine technical support. Your job offer letter must clearly describe duties aligned to management consulting, not general IT administration, to satisfy CBP or consular review.
How does the TN visa compare to H-1B for Workday Consultants?
The TN visa has no annual lottery and no cap for Canadian citizens, making it far more predictable than the H-1B selection process. You can get TN status approved at a Canadian border port of entry the same day you travel, while H-1B requires months of advance filing. Mexican citizens still need a consular appointment for TN, but they also avoid the H-1B lottery entirely.
Where can I find Workday Consultant jobs that offer TN visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point for Canadian and Mexican professionals searching for Workday Consultant roles at employers experienced with visa sponsorship. Rather than filtering through generic job postings, Migrate Mate surfaces employers with recent visa filings, so you can focus on companies already familiar with supporting international talent from day one.
Can I switch Workday employers on a TN visa without losing status?
You can change employers on TN status, but your new employer must establish a fresh TN authorization before your start date. For Canadians, that means a new border crossing with updated documentation or a USCIS change-of-employer petition. You cannot simply transfer TN status between companies the way some other visa categories allow, so plan your transition timeline carefully.
What documents does a Workday Consultant need for TN visa approval?
You'll need a detailed employer support letter specifying your Management Consultant duties and Workday implementation scope, proof of Canadian or Mexican citizenship, and academic credentials showing a degree in a relevant field such as business, information systems, or computer science. Workday certifications strengthen your application but aren't independently sufficient. Migrate Mate can help you identify which employers provide comprehensive TN support letters as part of their hiring process.
