ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Kleinfelder's Corporate Team has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Shared Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented HR professional who enjoys providing exceptional customer service, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting key HR processes in a collaborative and stable work environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented HR professional to provide administrative and operational support to our Human Resources department. In this role, you will manage a variety of moderately complex assignments, including compliance reporting, HRIS administration, employee onboarding and records management. You will serve as the primary point of contact for routine employee inquiries, ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data and support day-to-day HR functions as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Reporting: Assist in compiling EEO workforce demographic data, other compliance-related reporting requirements and other HR metrics.
- Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle: Coordinate the end-to-end new hire process, including I-9 form completion, system set up, and onboarding logistics.
- Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential electronic employee records.
- HRIS Maintenance: Serve as a primary HRIS user, processing employee changes and employee data in accordance with established guidelines. Ensuring all employee forms are up-to-date and accurate.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the first point of contact for daily staff inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and programs. Handle questions and service issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Operational Support: Gather and verify administrative input (leaves of absence, salary/employee changes, separations) for payroll processing and assist in creating new job descriptions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required; UKG Pro experience desired.
- Competencies: Strong attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, and excellent communication skills for resolving customer service issues.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, HR certificate or coursework from an accredited college or technical school preferred.
Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.
