INTRODUCTION
Central Oregon Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Lead Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team in Bend, Oregon. Since 1972, our hospital has proudly served the Central Oregon community with a commitment to quality medicine, trusted relationships, and compassionate care.
This is a great opportunity for a skilled CVT who enjoys advanced technical work, mentoring others, and helping lead the clinical team through strong communication, training, and daily workflow support.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Lead CVT, you’ll play a key role in supporting patient care, clinical training, onboarding, and daily hospital flow. This role is ideal for someone who can lead by example, help keep the team organized, and support consistent standards across the clinical floor.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality patient care during exams, treatments, dentals, and surgery
- Performing dental cleanings and dental radiographs
- Monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical recovery
- Training, coaching, and onboarding clinical support staff
- Supporting accountability, communication, and consistency across the team
- Assisting with monthly scheduling needs
- Leading or supporting department meetings with educational content
- Helping identify training opportunities and improve team efficiency

The ideal candidate is a confident, collaborative CVT who enjoys both technical medicine and team leadership. You should be comfortable jumping in where needed, coaching others, and helping create a positive, productive environment.

- Are a Certified Veterinary Technician
- Have strong technical skills in anesthesia, dentistry, surgery, and patient care
- Enjoy training, mentoring, and supporting clinical staff
- Are comfortable helping direct workflow and support team efficiency

- Are flexible, team-oriented, and willing to support different areas of the hospital
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
- Full-time schedule
- Four 10-hour shifts
- Two consecutive days off
- Rotating Saturdays
- Flexible scheduling where possible
- Compensation: $30-$35/hour, depending on experience
