Which sports companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Arizona?
Arizona's professional sports franchises and university athletic departments are among the most active sponsors of specialty occupation roles. The Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Phoenix Mercury have filed Labor Condition Applications for roles in sports science, analytics, and sports medicine. Major fitness and recreation companies with Arizona headquarters also appear in OFLC disclosure data as H-1B1 visa-eligible employers.
Which cities in Arizona have the most sports H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix holds the highest concentration of sports H-1B1 Chile sponsorship opportunities, driven by its five major professional sports franchises and the surrounding suburb of Scottsdale, which hosts significant spring training operations and sports performance facilities. Tempe and Tucson round out the key markets, anchored by Arizona State University and the University of Arizona athletic programs respectively, both of which hire specialty occupation staff.
What types of sports roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that generally qualify under the H-1B1 specialty occupation standard include sports data analysts, sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, biomechanics researchers, sports psychologists, and athletic performance scientists. These positions require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. General coaching or non-degree athletic staff roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation threshold required for H-1B1 sponsorship.
How do I find sports H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate lets you filter specifically for H-1B1 Chile-eligible sports roles in Arizona, surfacing employers with verified LCA filing history so you can see which organizations have sponsored comparable positions before. Searching by employer filing history is more reliable than relying on job postings alone, since many Arizona sports employers sponsor H-1B1 roles without explicitly advertising visa sponsorship in listings.
Are there any state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Arizona's sports industry?
Arizona's sports industry benefits from a year-round professional and collegiate calendar, which creates more consistent demand for specialty occupation hires compared to states with shorter seasons. However, H-1B1 Chile sponsorship still requires the employer to file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL and confirm prevailing wage compliance. Arizona does not impose additional state-level requirements beyond federal H-1B1 rules, but specialty occupation documentation remains the employer's responsibility regardless of role.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile sports jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
