- Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding durability, availability, performance, and security.
- Solve real business needs at large scale by applying your software engineering and analytical problem solving skills.

Which companies sponsor visas for front end software engineers in California?
California's largest H-1B sponsors for front end software engineering roles include Google, Apple, Meta, Salesforce, Adobe, and Netflix, concentrated primarily in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Mid-size and growth-stage tech companies across Silicon Valley and Los Angeles also file regularly. Sponsorship activity is especially high among companies building consumer-facing products where front end expertise directly affects the user experience.
Which visa types are most common for front end software engineer roles in California?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for front end software engineers in California, as the role typically meets the specialty occupation standard given its reliance on computer science or related degrees. Australian citizens working for California employers may qualify for the E-3 visa instead. Those already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT extension also frequently transition into employer-sponsored H-1B status.
Which cities in California have the most front end software engineer sponsorship jobs?
San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area cities, including San Jose, Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and Menlo Park, account for the largest share of front end software engineer sponsorship filings in California. Los Angeles has grown significantly, particularly in its tech and entertainment technology sectors. San Diego also has a meaningful concentration of sponsoring employers, especially in biotech-adjacent software and defense technology companies.
How to find front end software engineer visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify California employers actively hiring front end software engineers and willing to support work authorization. Rather than sorting through general job listings that rarely disclose sponsorship status upfront, Migrate Mate focuses on roles where sponsorship is confirmed, saving time during what is often an urgent job search.
Are there state-specific considerations for front end software engineers seeking sponsorship in California?
California's prevailing wage requirements under Labor Condition Application rules tend to reflect the state's high cost of living, meaning employers must meet elevated wage floors when sponsoring H-1B workers in cities like San Francisco and San Jose. California's large university system, including UC Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford, also feeds a strong pipeline of international students who pursue sponsorship through OPT and H-1B pathways after graduating.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored front end software engineer jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
