DESCRIPTION
The BMS team is looking for battery algorithm software engineer to design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products. Working with a cross-functional team including algorithms, software, and system engineers, you will be required to define SW architecture and write SW modules to implement innovative battery algorithms.
Responsibilities
- Develop future BMS technologies with a hardworking team of engineers in a highly reciprocal and multi-functional environment.
- Develop and commercialize robust battery management solutions for consumer, industrial, telecom or automotive products.
- Develop new class of battery systems involving algorithms, architectures and products to improve the utility of batteries.
- Design and develop advanced battery and power management algorithms and software for various Apple products.
- Work with cross-functional teams including algorithms, software, and system engineers and will define SW architecture.
- Write SW modules to implement innovative battery algorithms.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- MS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in machine learning algorithms and deep learning applications.
- Experience programming in Python or C++.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PhD and 10+ years relevant industry experience.
- Experience with SW requirement definition and SW development process.
- Experience in the design and architecture of machine learning inference pipelines and underlying infrastructure.
- Experience in using AI coding tools and creating agentic AI applications.
- Experience in innovative and creative ML feature development in battery or consumer electronic domain.
PAY & BENEFITS
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
