Which companies sponsor visas for daycare workers in Florida?
Larger childcare operators are the most common sponsors for daycare roles in Florida. KinderCare Education, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, and Learning Care Group each have multiple Florida locations and a documented history of sponsoring H-1B and other work visas. Employer-sponsored childcare centers at hospitals and universities, such as those affiliated with the University of Florida or major health systems, also periodically sponsor international candidates.
Which visa types are most common for daycare roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for daycare roles that require a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a closely related field, since the position must qualify as a specialty occupation. The TN visa is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying education roles. J-1 exchange visitor visas are sometimes used for cultural exchange or training programs at childcare centers, though these are employer-specific and program-dependent.
Which cities in Florida have the most daycare sponsorship jobs?
Miami, Orlando, and Tampa account for the largest share of daycare visa sponsorship activity in Florida, reflecting both population density and the concentration of large childcare chains in those metro areas. Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale also have active hiring markets. Employer-sponsored centers near major universities, including Gainesville and Tallahassee, occasionally post sponsored roles tied to campus childcare programs.
How to find daycare visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for international candidates seeking visa sponsorship in the U.S., including daycare roles in Florida. You can filter by state and job category to see Florida childcare positions where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness. Focusing your search on larger childcare chains and institutional employers, rather than small independent centers, tends to yield the most sponsorship-eligible listings.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for daycare visa sponsorship?
Florida requires childcare workers to meet state-specific licensing standards through the Florida Department of Children and Families, including background screening and training requirements that apply regardless of visa status. International candidates should verify their foreign credentials are recognized under Florida's childcare licensing framework before pursuing sponsorship. Florida's high population of Spanish-speaking families also means bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish-English speakers, are often more competitive in Miami-Dade and surrounding counties.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored daycare jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
