Which companies sponsor visas for wealth management associates in Florida?
Raymond James, headquartered in St. Petersburg, is one of the most active sponsors in Florida's wealth management space. Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo Advisors, and UBS also have significant Florida footprints and have filed H-1B petitions for associate-level roles. Larger regional banks and independent RIAs with international client bases tend to be more open to sponsorship than smaller boutique firms.
Which visa types are most common for wealth management associate roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for wealth management associates in Florida, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Canada and Mexico may qualify for TN visa status under the USMCA. Australian citizens can explore the E-3 visa. F-1 OPT holders are sometimes hired before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
Which cities in Florida have the most wealth management associate sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads the state for wealth management associate positions, driven by its concentration of international private banking clients and Latin American wealth. Tampa and St. Petersburg are strong second markets, largely because of Raymond James' headquarters presence there. Palm Beach and Boca Raton also have active hiring due to their high-net-worth retiree populations. Orlando sees smaller but growing demand from expanding regional advisory practices.
How to find wealth management associate visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters wealth management associate roles in Florida by visa sponsorship willingness, saving significant time compared to general job searches. On Migrate Mate, you can narrow results by state, role, and visa type to surface employers in Miami, Tampa, and Palm Beach who have a documented history of sponsoring foreign workers for associate-level finance positions.
Are there state-specific or role-specific factors to know about wealth management associate hiring in Florida?
Florida's lack of a state income tax is a draw for both employers and high-net-worth clients, which supports steady growth in the advisory sector. Many Florida wealth management firms serve international and Latin American clients, so fluency in Spanish or Portuguese can strengthen a candidacy. Candidates should also be aware that FINRA licenses like the Series 7 and Series 66 are typically required and must be obtained regardless of visa status.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored wealth management associate jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
