Tips for Finding Green Card Sponsorship Jobs in Guam
Match your credentials to the right EB pathway
EB-1 skips PERM entirely for workers with extraordinary ability or multinational manager status. EB-2 requires an advanced degree or exceptional ability. EB-3 covers most skilled and professional roles through the full PERM labor certification process. Knowing your category before you apply shapes your entire employer search.
Target employers with active PERM filing history
Guam's largest Green Card sponsors cluster in hotel management, hospital administration, and federal defense contractors near Andersen Air Force Base and Naval Base Guam. Search DOL's PERM disclosure data to identify which specific Guam employers have filed labor certifications in your occupation code recently.
Verify prevailing wage before accepting any offer
Guam falls under DOL prevailing wage requirements like any U.S. jurisdiction, but wages reflect a smaller regional labor market. Use the OFLC Wage Search to confirm the wage level your employer must certify before PERM is filed, so you don't accept an offer that will stall at the DOL stage.
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by Green Card sponsorship history
Guam's sponsoring employer pool is narrower than major mainland metros. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with verified Green Card filing history in Guam, so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never navigated the PERM or I-140 process before.
Prepare a PERM-ready credential package early
USCIS and DOL both require documentation that your education and experience meet the job's minimum requirements as written in the PERM application. Gather foreign degree evaluations, certified translations, and employment verification letters before you receive an offer, not after, to avoid delays once your employer initiates recruitment.
Understand Guam's geographic recruitment advertising rules
PERM requires employers to run mandatory recruitment steps proving no qualified U.S. workers are available. In Guam's small labor market, that advertising window draws local applicants quickly. Ask your prospective employer whether they've completed or planned the DOL-required recruitment steps before you invest time in their sponsorship process.

Which industries in Guam sponsor the most Green Card visas?
Hospitality and hotel management, healthcare, construction and engineering, and federal defense contracting sponsor the most Green Card visas in Guam. The Tumon Bay resort corridor drives significant hospitality demand, while ongoing U.S. military buildup has expanded sponsorship activity among construction firms and government contractors based near Andersen Air Force Base and Naval Base Guam.
Which cities in Guam have the most Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Tamuning and Dededo hold the highest concentration of Green Card-sponsoring employers in Guam, anchored by major hotels, hospital networks, and contractors. Hagatna, as the territorial capital, hosts government-adjacent employers and professional services firms. Tumon Bay is also significant for hospitality roles where employers routinely file PERM labor certifications for skilled service and management positions.
What types of roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Guam?
Roles that typically qualify include registered nurses, engineers, hotel and resort managers, construction supervisors, IT professionals, and skilled tradespeople in federally contracted projects. Most qualify under EB-3 through the PERM process. Roles requiring an advanced degree or specialized expertise may qualify for EB-2. O*NET occupation profiles can help you confirm whether your role meets specialty requirements.
How do I find Green Card sponsorship jobs in Guam?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by employers with verified Green Card sponsorship history in Guam, which is especially useful given the territory's smaller employer pool. You can also search DOL's PERM disclosure data by Guam employer to identify which companies have filed labor certifications in your occupation. USCIS resources explain I-140 petition requirements once you have an offer in hand.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card jobs in Guam?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
