Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in Idaho
Verify your occupation qualifies as specialty
The H-1B1 Singapore visa requires your role to meet the specialty occupation definition. Use O*NET to confirm your job code requires at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field before targeting Idaho employers.
Search LCA filings to identify active sponsors
Use Migrate Mate to filter employers by verified DOL Labor Condition Application filing history in Idaho. This shows you which Treasure Valley companies have already filed for H-1B1 Singapore workers, not just those open to the idea.
Confirm prevailing wage before negotiating salary
Your employer's LCA must certify a wage meeting DOL's prevailing wage for your occupation and Idaho county. Run the OFLC Wage Search before offer negotiations so you understand the floor your employer is legally required to meet.
Prepare a credential equivalency letter early
If your Singapore degree is three years rather than four, obtain a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved agency before applying. Idaho employers in healthcare and technology regularly request this before advancing candidates to the offer stage.
Track the H-1B1 Singapore annual cap separately from H-1B
The H-1B1 Singapore visa has a separate annual allocation of 5,400 visas and no lottery. USCIS processes petitions year-round, but filing early in the fiscal year reduces the risk of processing delays affecting your Idaho start date.

Which industries in Idaho sponsor the most H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Technology companies in the Boise metro, including semiconductor and software firms, account for the largest share of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in Idaho. Agricultural sciences employers in the Magic Valley and healthcare systems across the Treasure Valley, particularly in clinical research and nursing informatics roles, are the next most active sponsoring sectors.
Which cities in Idaho have the most H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Boise and its suburbs of Meridian and Nampa contain the highest concentration of H-1B1 Singapore sponsoring employers in Idaho, driven by the technology corridor along the I-84 corridor. Idaho Falls has a secondary cluster tied to energy research and engineering employers, and Twin Falls has emerging activity in food science and agricultural technology roles.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Idaho?
Roles that consistently qualify include software engineers, data analysts, electrical engineers, clinical research coordinators, and agricultural scientists. Each position must require a bachelor's degree or higher in a directly related field as confirmed through O*NET job zone classifications. General management or sales roles without a degree-specific requirement do not qualify under the H-1B1 Singapore specialty occupation standard.
How do I find H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Idaho?
Use Migrate Mate to search for Idaho employers with verified H-1B1 Singapore LCA filing history, which filters out companies that have never filed for this visa type. Prioritize employers in Boise's technology sector and Idaho Falls' engineering sector.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in Idaho?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
