Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in New York?
New York's accounting sponsorship activity is concentrated among large public accounting firms, financial institutions with in-house accounting teams, and multinational corporations headquartered in the city. Firms such as Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG maintain significant New York offices and have documented H-1B1 visa Chile Labor Condition Application filings. Mid-size regional CPA firms also sponsor, though their volume is lower. DOL's OFLC disclosure data is the most reliable way to verify which specific employers have filed.
Which cities in New York have the most accounting H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the largest share of accounting H-1B1 Chile roles in New York, driven by the concentration of financial services firms, investment banks, and global headquarters. Albany sees demand from state government contractors and compliance-focused practices. Buffalo and Rochester have growing regional accounting markets tied to manufacturing and healthcare sectors. White Plains and Melville on Long Island also host notable accounting employer clusters worth exploring for sponsorship opportunities.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify under the H-1B1 Chile specialty occupation standard generally require at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field as a minimum entry requirement for the position. In New York, qualifying titles commonly include external auditor, tax associate, financial reporting analyst, assurance manager, and forensic accountant. General bookkeeping or data-entry accounting positions that do not require a specific degree typically do not meet the specialty occupation definition.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search: you can filter by visa type, state, and industry to surface New York accounting employers with verified H-1B1 Chile Labor Condition Application filing history. This removes the guesswork of approaching firms that have never sponsored the visa. Cross-referencing DOL's OFLC disclosure data can confirm which employers have filed H-1B1 Chile LCAs for accounting roles in New York in recent years.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile accounting sponsorship?
New York State requires CPA licensure for certain attest and public accounting functions, and employers typically verify that candidates meet or are on a pathway to meeting those requirements before extending a sponsored offer. New York City's prevailing wage levels for accounting roles are among the highest in the country, which affects the wage floor an employer must certify on the Labor Condition Application. Chilean nationals should also confirm their passport and credential documentation is current well ahead of any consular appointment.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile accounting jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
