Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in New York?
The Big Four accounting firms, Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG, have New York offices that have filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 Singapore holders in accounting roles. Large financial institutions such as JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, and Citigroup also sponsor accounting professionals. Regional CPA firms and multinational corporations with New York headquarters appear in DOL H-1B1 LCA disclosure data as well.
Which cities in New York have the most accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the vast majority of H-1B1 visa Singapore accounting sponsorship activity in New York, driven by the concentration of financial services firms, Big Four offices, and corporate headquarters in Midtown and Lower Manhattan. Buffalo, Albany, and White Plains have a smaller but present share of accounting sponsorship roles, primarily at regional banks, government contractors, and multi-state accounting practices.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that typically qualify include financial accountant, audit associate, tax analyst, management accountant, forensic accountant, and financial reporting specialist. These positions generally require at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, meeting the H-1B1 specialty occupation standard. Roles requiring professional credentials such as CPA or CFA are particularly well-documented in New York LCA filings for H-1B1 Singapore applicants.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for H-1B1 Singapore visa sponsorship in accounting across New York, drawing on DOL Labor Condition Application data to surface employers with verified filing history. Searching by visa type and industry on Migrate Mate lets you identify which New York firms have actively sponsored Singapore nationals in accounting roles, rather than relying on general job postings where sponsorship availability is often unclear.
Are there any New York-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore accounting sponsorship?
New York employers sponsoring H-1B1 Singapore holders in accounting must file an LCA with the DOL certifying that the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for the role and location, which you can verify through the OFLC Wage Search tool. New York City's high cost of living means prevailing wage levels for accounting roles are among the highest in the country. Licensed CPA roles may also require New York State Board of Accountancy credentials separate from visa requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore accounting jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
