Whether it's at the airport, stadium, or throughout your everyday life, CLEAR unlocks the magic of frictionless experiences.
While our travel business has redefined the airport experience, CLEAR1 is the new standard in identity, offering multi-layered verification wherever it matters most for businesses across the country. As the VP of Product, you will hold a foundational seat at the leadership table, directly shaping our trajectory. You should be an expert at navigating the trade-offs between rapid commercial expansion, technical integrity, and operational excellence while maintaining an obsession with our customer journey and user experience.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the Product Trajectory: While working across CLEAR1 leadership, translate the business mission into a dominant market strategy and represent that strategy externally with enterprise customers, partners, and the market.
- Champion an Elite Product Unit: Lead and mentor a lean, high-performing team of Product Managers through a period of massive momentum. You will design the organizational framework that allows CLEAR1 to maintain a "small-team" bias for action, ensuring high-velocity execution as we expand our global footprint.
- Drive Strategic Product Partnerships: Cultivate deep relationships with enterprise customers, strategic partners, and government stakeholders. Act as a senior, external-facing product leader engaging directly in deals, shaping solutions with customers, and evangelizing CLEAR's vision in the market.
- Be the Voice of the Customer: Bring firsthand insight from enterprise engagements into the product roadmap. Translate complex customer and regulatory needs into scalable product decisions that strengthen CLEAR1's position as the trusted identity layer.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Partner with Engineering to ensure CLEAR1 isn't just a great UI, but a reliable, compliant, and efficient engine that scales without proportional headcount growth.
- Champion Product Excellence: Define and elevate the standards for the broader product organization, raising the bar for customer obsession, rigorous measurement, and high-velocity innovation.
- Master the "High-Wire" Trade-offs: Make the hard calls between aggressive commercial expansion, engineering health (technical debt/scalability), and long-term sustainability.
HOW YOU'LL MEASURE SUCCESS
- CLEAR1 portfolio adoption, retention, and revenue growth across enterprise customers.
- Expansion of strategic enterprise relationships and successful delivery of customer commitments.
- Platform scalability, reliability, and readiness to support new markets and use cases.
- Clear, outcome-driven KPIs tied to customer value, operational efficiency, and product quality.
- Strength, engagement, and performance of the CLEAR1 product leadership team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bridging the Gap: 12+ years leading complex B2B or SaaS portfolios, with a track record of transitioning from "scrappy growth" to a predictable, enterprise-grade engine.
- Executive Presence with Customers: Comfortable operating as a senior external face of the product credible with partners; able to influence deals, shape requirements, and build trust.
- Vertical Integration Strategy: Strong instinct for how a horizontal technology (like Identity) becomes a dominant wedge in markets like Healthcare, Financial Services, or Government.
- Economic Thinking: Deep understanding of how product decisions impact margin, CAC, and long-term customer value.
- Leading Through Ambiguity: Thrive in startup environments, able to find Product-Market Fit in new territory while maintaining the discipline required of a public company executive.

Which companies sponsor visas for VP Product roles in New York?
Several large technology, financial services, and media companies in New York have a documented history of sponsoring senior product roles. JPMorgan Chase, Bloomberg, Spotify, Peloton, and enterprise SaaS companies headquartered in Manhattan regularly file H-1B visa petitions for VP-level product hires. Smaller growth-stage startups with institutional backing also sponsor at this level, though less frequently than established enterprises.
What visa types are most common for VP Product roles in New York?
The H-1B is the most common visa for VP Product roles in New York. Because the role requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field and involves specialized judgment, it generally qualifies as a specialty occupation. Senior candidates with extraordinary achievement may also be considered for the O-1A. Those transitioning within a multinational company may qualify for an L-1A intracompany transferee visa.
Which cities in New York have the most VP Product sponsorship jobs?
Manhattan accounts for the large majority of VP Product sponsorship jobs in New York. Midtown and the Flatiron District host a concentration of fintech, media, and enterprise tech companies that hire at this level. Brooklyn's tech corridor, particularly DUMBO, has a growing presence of funded startups. Outside the city, Buffalo and Albany have limited activity at the VP Product level.
How to find vp product visa sponsorship jobs in New York?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for VP Product roles in New York without sifting through postings from companies that do not sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from employers with a history of filing sponsorship petitions. Given how competitive these senior positions are, setting up targeted alerts for New York VP Product openings is a useful approach.
Are there state-specific considerations for VP Product visa sponsorship in New York?
New York's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to H-1B petitions filed for roles in the state, so employers must pay at least the DOL-determined prevailing wage for the relevant occupation and skill level in the New York City metro area. The cost of living in Manhattan is reflected in those benchmarks. Additionally, New York's dense concentration of legal and immigration counsel means many large employers have established sponsorship processes and dedicated immigration teams.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored vp product jobs in New York?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
