Tips for Finding H-1B1 Singapore Sponsorship Jobs in North Dakota
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
The H-1B1 Singapore requires a degree in a directly related field, not just any bachelor's. Use O*NET to confirm your occupation's typical education requirement matches your credential before applying to North Dakota roles.
Target Fargo's healthcare and engineering employers first
Sanford Health, CHI St. Alexius, and agricultural technology firms clustered around Fargo and the Red River Valley file H-1B1 visa applications regularly. Focus your search on these sectors rather than spreading across all industries statewide.
Confirm your employer files LCAs before accepting an offer
An employer must file a certified Labor Condition Application with DOL before your H-1B1 visa application can proceed. Ask hiring managers directly whether they've filed LCAs before, since many North Dakota employers outside Fargo lack prior sponsorship experience.
Use Migrate Mate to filter verified H-1B1 sponsors in North Dakota
Most job boards don't distinguish H-1B1 Singapore filings from other visa types. Migrate Mate surfaces employers with confirmed H-1B1 LCA filing history in North Dakota, saving you from pursuing roles where sponsorship is unlikely or untested.
Check prevailing wage requirements before negotiating salary
Your offered wage must meet the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and location. Run your job title and North Dakota metro area through the OFLC Wage Search to understand the wage floor your employer must certify before USCIS will approve the petition.
Account for the H-1B1 annual cap when timing your job search
The H-1B1 Singapore has a dedicated annual cap of 5,400 visas. Unlike the H-1B visa, there's no lottery, but cap availability affects timing. Start your North Dakota job search at least three to four months before your intended start date.

Which industries in North Dakota sponsor the most H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Healthcare is the leading sponsoring industry in North Dakota, driven by large regional systems in Fargo and Bismarck. Engineering and agricultural technology firms, particularly those tied to precision farming and energy infrastructure in the western part of the state, also file H-1B1 visa applications. Information technology roles within these sectors represent a growing share of filings.
Which cities in North Dakota have the most H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Fargo accounts for the largest share of H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship activity in North Dakota, given its concentration of healthcare employers, technology companies, and North Dakota State University-adjacent research roles. Bismarck and Grand Forks follow, with Bismarck's state government healthcare infrastructure and Grand Forks' university and regional medical employer base generating consistent specialty occupation filings.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in North Dakota?
Roles that typically qualify require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In North Dakota, this includes software engineers, civil and mechanical engineers, registered nurses with advanced credentials, financial analysts, and agricultural scientists. Positions where any degree qualifies, regardless of field, generally don't meet USCIS specialty occupation standards for the H-1B1 Singapore.
How do I find H-1B1 Singapore jobs in North Dakota?
Start with Migrate Mate, which filters employers by verified H-1B1 visa LCA filing history so you're targeting companies that have already demonstrated sponsorship capability in North Dakota. Supplement this by focusing outreach on Fargo's healthcare and engineering sectors, and confirm with each employer that they've filed Labor Condition Applications through DOL before advancing in any interview process.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore jobs in North Dakota?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
