Job Description
Development Coop position will work in the quality lab and perform tests on conveyor belts and their components in support of continuous improvement and R&D work. The position will report directly to the lab manager and take direction on priorities from this position. Work will primarily be in the lab environment but will require interaction with the CBG manufacturing facilities to obtain samples, MDRs, raw materials, and any other items that are necessary to perform the requested tests.
Experience working around lab and manufacturing equipment preferred but not required. Ability to learn the detailed operation of various pieces of test equipment a must. In addition, must be detailed oriented in order to perform the tests with knowledge and record the results with accuracy. Detailed training will be provided for the specific tests that are required to be performed.
There is a portion of the job that requires the manufacturing of samples to work in the various lab test equipment. The qualified person must be able to use knives and other tools safely while completing this work.
Efficiency and accuracy in running the various tests will be required to satisfactorily perform the job.
Qualifications
Completion of 2nd year of college/university courses by Summer semester working towards BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 3.0 GPA
• Computer skills in Word and Excel.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week in the summer and a minimum of 10 hours per week during the school year.
