Which finance companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Tennessee?
Tennessee's largest finance employers with documented sponsorship activity include Regions Bank, First Horizon National, Pinnacle Financial Partners, and AllianceBernstein, which relocated its headquarters to Nashville. Insurance and asset management firms such as Unum Group in Chattanooga also appear in DOL Labor Condition Application filings. Sponsorship patterns vary by firm size and hiring cycle, so checking OFLC disclosure data for specific employers gives the most accurate picture.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most finance H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads Tennessee for finance sponsorship activity, driven by AllianceBernstein's headquarters relocation and a growing concentration of fintech and insurance firms. Memphis is the second major hub, anchored by First Horizon Bank and regional financial services operations. Chattanooga hosts Unum Group's U.S. headquarters and supports a smaller but active financial sector. Knoxville has more limited sponsorship activity but does see periodic openings tied to regional banks and accounting firms.

Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search, you can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface Tennessee finance roles where employers have a verified H-1B1 visa Chile sponsorship history based on DOL LCA filing data. This is more reliable than standard job boards, which don't filter by visa sponsorship. Targeting employers with existing LCA filings in finance significantly improves your chances compared to cold applications.
What types of finance roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In finance, this covers financial analysts, investment analysts, credit risk analysts, compliance officers, actuaries, and quantitative researchers. General teller or branch operations roles typically do not qualify. The role's degree requirement must be specific to the occupation, not simply a general preference listed by the employer.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Tennessee's finance sector?
Tennessee has no state income tax on wages, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks against DOL prevailing wage requirements, the wage floor is federally set, but total compensation discussions differ from high-tax states. Tennessee's finance sector also includes a notable insurance industry concentration, particularly in Chattanooga and Nashville, where actuarial and risk management roles see consistent demand. Chilean nationals should confirm their degree equivalency meets U.S. specialty occupation standards before applying.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile finance jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
