Which companies sponsor visas for snack bar attendants in Tennessee?
Large food service contractors are the most consistent sponsors for snack bar attendants in Tennessee. Companies like Aramark, Sodexo, and Levy Restaurants hold concession contracts at major venues including Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and FedExForum in Memphis. These national operators have established HR infrastructure to support visa sponsorship, unlike smaller independent concession operators who rarely have the resources to file petitions.
Which visa types are most common for snack bar attendant roles in Tennessee?
Snack bar attendant positions are generally classified as unskilled or semi-skilled labor, which limits visa options. The H-2B temporary nonimmigrant visa is the most realistic pathway, as it covers seasonal or peak-load non-agricultural workers. Employers must demonstrate a temporary need and obtain Department of Labor certification before filing. H-1B sponsorship is not applicable to this role, as it requires a specialty occupation with a bachelor's degree requirement.
Which cities in Tennessee have the most snack bar attendant sponsorship jobs?
Nashville leads the state due to its concentration of large entertainment venues, convention facilities, and a rapidly growing tourism sector. Memphis follows, with Autozone Park, FedExForum, and a busy convention calendar supporting consistent concession staffing. Knoxville also sees demand around University of Tennessee athletics events at Neyland Stadium, where large food service contractors manage concession operations year-round.
How to find snack bar attendant visa sponsorship jobs in Tennessee?
Migrate Mate is a dedicated platform for international job seekers and filters specifically for visa-sponsored roles, including snack bar attendant positions in Tennessee. Rather than sorting through general job listings where sponsorship eligibility is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. Filtering by state and role category helps narrow results to Tennessee venues and hospitality operators actively hiring for concession and food service positions.
Are there any state-specific considerations for snack bar attendants seeking visa sponsorship in Tennessee?
Tennessee's entertainment economy is heavily event-driven, meaning many snack bar attendant positions are seasonal or tied to specific schedules like NFL, NBA, or college sports seasons. Employers filing H-2B petitions must document that the staffing need is temporary, which aligns naturally with this pattern. Tennessee does not have a state minimum wage above the federal level, so prevailing wage determinations for H-2B positions follow federal Department of Labor wage data for the relevant county and occupation.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored snack bar attendant jobs in Tennessee?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
