Search Customer Sales Advisor Jobs in TexasCustomer Sales Advisor Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies sponsor visas for customer sales advisors in Texas?
Technology and telecommunications companies are among the more active visa sponsors for customer sales advisor roles in Texas. Dell Technologies (Round Rock), AT&T (Dallas), and financial institutions like JPMorgan Chase and Wells Fargo have sponsored work visas for client-facing sales roles. Sponsorship availability varies by position, hiring cycle, and whether the specific role qualifies as a specialty occupation under U.S. immigration guidelines.
Which visa types are most common for customer sales advisor roles in Texas?
The H-1B visa is the most commonly filed work visa for customer sales advisor roles in Texas, though it requires the position to qualify as a specialty occupation, meaning a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field must be a genuine requirement. Candidates with Australian citizenship may explore the E-3 visa. Those already in the U.S. on F-1 OPT or STEM OPT may also work for a sponsoring employer while a petition is filed.
Which cities in Texas have the most customer sales advisor sponsorship jobs?
Dallas and Austin generate the highest concentration of customer sales advisor roles with visa sponsorship potential in Texas. Dallas is home to major corporate headquarters in financial services and telecom, while Austin's technology sector has expanded significantly. Houston offers opportunities in energy-sector sales and enterprise software. San Antonio, anchored by financial services companies like USAA and Frost Bank, also posts customer sales advisor openings regularly.
How to find customer sales advisor visa sponsorship jobs in Texas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify customer sales advisor roles in Texas where employers have a history of sponsoring international candidates. Rather than sorting through thousands of unfiltered postings, you can search by role and state to surface relevant opportunities. Reviewing employer H-1B disclosure data through the Department of Labor's public records can also help identify which Texas companies have sponsored similar roles previously.
Are there any Texas-specific considerations for customer sales advisor visa sponsorship?
Texas has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons that employers must meet under H-1B Labor Condition Application requirements. The Department of Labor sets prevailing wages by metropolitan area, so roles in Dallas, Austin, and Houston carry different wage thresholds. Texas also hosts several large university systems, meaning some employers in the state are familiar with F-1 OPT hiring, which can be a common entry point before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored customer sales advisor jobs in Texas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
