Which accounting companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented H-1B1 visa or H-1B visa sponsorship histories in accounting include large regional firms, national public accounting practices with Milwaukee or Madison offices, insurance and financial services companies such as Northwestern Mutual and Fiserv, and healthcare systems with internal finance functions. DOL Labor Condition Application disclosure data, searchable through the OFLC Wage Search tool, shows which specific employers have filed for accounting occupations in Wisconsin.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee concentrates the highest volume of accounting sponsorship activity, driven by its financial services sector, corporate headquarters, and Big Four satellite offices. Madison follows, supported by state government contractors, university-affiliated entities, and a growing professional services cluster. Green Bay and Appleton offer accounting roles tied to manufacturing, insurance, and regional banking, though at lower volumes than the two primary metros.
How do I find accounting H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters Wisconsin accounting jobs specifically by H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship history, so you can identify employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for accounting occupations in this state rather than applying broadly and hoping for sponsorship. Search by occupation, city, and employer size to target roles in audit, tax, or financial reporting where Wisconsin companies have a verified filing record for Singapore nationals.
What types of accounting roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Wisconsin?
Roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a directly related field qualify as specialty occupations under H-1B1 rules. In Wisconsin, this covers positions such as staff and senior auditor, tax associate, financial analyst, management accountant, and forensic accountant. General bookkeeping or clerical accounting roles that do not require a specific degree generally do not meet the specialty occupation standard. O*NET occupation profiles document the educational requirements adjudicators reference.
Are there state-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in Wisconsin accounting roles?
Wisconsin does not impose additional state-level visa requirements, but accounting roles in regulated industries such as insurance or banking may require professional licensing beyond the visa itself. CPA licensure in Wisconsin is governed by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services and has its own education and examination requirements separate from immigration status. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications must attest to paying the prevailing wage for the specific accounting occupation and Wisconsin county, which USCIS and DOL verify during adjudication.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore accounting jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
