Which biotech and pharma companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin employers with documented Labor Condition Application filings in biotech and pharma include Exact Sciences, MilliporeSigma, Covance (now Labcorp Drug Development), and Nordic Pharma. University-affiliated research institutions in Madison also sponsor specialty occupation roles. Filing history varies by year and role type, so reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data through the OFLC Wage Search tool gives the most current picture of which employers are actively sponsoring.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most biotech and pharma H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Madison concentrates the largest share of Wisconsin biotech and pharma sponsorship activity, anchored by the University of Wisconsin research ecosystem and companies clustered around University Research Park. Milwaukee and its suburbs, particularly the I-94 corridor, host pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical device operations. Wausau and Green Bay have smaller but growing life sciences presences, primarily in contract research and clinical services.
What types of biotech and pharma roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Roles that generally qualify require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field as a minimum entry requirement. In Wisconsin biotech and pharma, qualifying positions commonly include research scientists, bioinformatics analysts, regulatory affairs specialists, clinical research associates, quality assurance managers, and process development engineers. Roles where any bachelor's degree field satisfies the requirement, regardless of discipline, face greater scrutiny under the specialty occupation standard.
How do I find biotech and pharma H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Wisconsin?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type and state, making it straightforward to search for biotech and pharma roles with H-1B1 visa Singapore sponsorship in Wisconsin. Beyond job listings, Migrate Mate surfaces employer LCA filing history so you can see which Wisconsin companies have previously filed for H-1B1-eligible positions in your occupation, helping you focus applications on employers already familiar with the sponsorship process.
Are there any Wisconsin-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship in biotech and pharma?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal obligations, but employers must file a certified Labor Condition Application with the DOL before sponsoring an H-1B1 worker. In biotech and pharma specifically, employers must demonstrate the role meets the specialty occupation definition and pay the prevailing wage for that occupation in the relevant Wisconsin metro area, which you can look up using the OFLC Wage Search tool. Academic medical centers and university spinouts operate under the same federal framework as private employers.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore biotech & pharma jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
