Which healthcare companies sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin's largest health systems are the most active sponsors of specialty occupation visas. Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, UW Health in Madison, Advocate Aurora Health, Marshfield Clinic Health System, and Children's Wisconsin have all filed Labor Condition Applications for international healthcare professionals. Sponsorship activity is concentrated in academic medical centers and large multi-site health systems rather than independent or single-site practices.
Which cities in Wisconsin have the most healthcare H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Milwaukee is Wisconsin's primary healthcare employment hub, home to Froedtert Health, the Medical College of Wisconsin, and Children's Wisconsin. Madison follows closely, driven by UW Health and the University of Wisconsin hospital system. Green Bay and Appleton support regional health systems including Bellin Health and ThedaCare. Smaller markets like Wausau and Eau Claire offer limited but real sponsorship opportunities through Aspirus and Mayo Clinic Health System.
What types of healthcare roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupation roles requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Wisconsin healthcare, qualifying positions commonly include physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical pharmacists, physical therapists, medical laboratory scientists, radiologic technologists, biomedical engineers, and health informatics specialists. Roles classified as general support or administrative functions that do not require a specific degree field typically do not qualify.

Are there any Wisconsin-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore healthcare sponsorship?
Wisconsin does not impose state-level visa sponsorship requirements beyond federal standards, but healthcare professionals should be aware of state licensure timelines. Wisconsin's Department of Safety and Professional Services processes occupational licenses independently of federal visa approval, and some clinical roles require licensure before a start date can be confirmed. Academic medical centers affiliated with the University of Wisconsin system are cap-exempt employers, which can simplify H-1B1 processing timelines for qualifying research or teaching positions.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore healthcare jobs in Wisconsin?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
