Tips for Finding H-1B1 Chile Sponsorship Jobs in Wyoming
Verify your degree meets specialty occupation standards
The H-1B1 Chile requires a degree directly related to the offered role, not just any bachelor's degree. Cross-check your field of study against the job's SOC code using O*NET to confirm the relationship holds before applying.
Target Wyoming's energy corridor employers first
Casper's oil, gas, and mining sector generates the densest concentration of specialty occupation roles in Wyoming. Engineering, geology, and environmental science positions in this corridor are consistently filed under LCA-supported sponsorship arrangements.
Confirm LCA prevailing wage before accepting any offer
Your employer must certify your wage meets the DOL prevailing wage for your occupation and Wyoming county. Run the OFLC Wage Search for your SOC code and Natrona or Laramie County before signing an offer letter.
Use Migrate Mate to surface verified Wyoming sponsors
Search Migrate Mate's employer database to find Wyoming companies with active H-1B1 Chile LCA filing history. This filters out employers who express interest in sponsorship but have no documented track record with DOL.
Get your credential evaluation done before outreach
Chilean university degrees often need a foreign credential evaluation to confirm U.S. equivalency. Have a NACES-member evaluation completed before contacting Wyoming employers so you can immediately address degree questions in early conversations.
Understand Wyoming's lean HR infrastructure at smaller firms
Many Wyoming employers in energy and healthcare are mid-size companies without in-house immigration counsel. When you receive an offer, confirm the company has worked with an immigration attorney before, since H-1B1 Chile filing requirements are not self-evident to first-time sponsors.

Which industries in Wyoming sponsor the most H-1B1 Chile visas?
Energy extraction, including oil, gas, and mining, generates the highest volume of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship activity in Wyoming, driven by demand for petroleum engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists. Healthcare in Casper and Cheyenne also sponsors regularly for clinical and technical roles. Civil and mechanical engineering firms supporting Wyoming's infrastructure round out the primary sponsoring sectors.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Casper holds the largest concentration of H-1B1 Chile sponsorship opportunities due to its role as Wyoming's energy industry hub. Cheyenne, as the state capital, anchors government-adjacent and healthcare employers. Laramie sees some activity tied to the University of Wyoming and regional engineering firms. Outside these three metros, sponsoring employers are sparse.
What types of roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Wyoming?
Roles must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In Wyoming, this most commonly applies to petroleum engineers, environmental scientists, civil engineers, registered nurses, software developers, and financial analysts. General management, trades, or roles where any degree field is acceptable typically do not qualify under USCIS standards.
How do I find H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate lets you search employers in Wyoming who have documented H-1B1 Chile or broader H-1B visa LCA filing history with DOL, so you can focus outreach on companies already familiar with the sponsorship process. Complement this by targeting Casper and Cheyenne employers in energy, healthcare, and engineering directly, since those sectors account for most Wyoming sponsorship activity.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
