Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor H-1B1 Chile visas in Wyoming?
Wyoming's aerospace and defense sponsorship activity is concentrated among federal contractors supporting F.E. Warren Air Force Base, including companies working in missile systems, logistics, and base operations. Larger defense primes with Wyoming contracts, such as Northrop Grumman and SAIC, have H-1B1 visa filing history nationally, though Wyoming-specific openings are less frequent than in larger defense hubs. Checking OFLC Labor Condition Application disclosure data helps identify which contractors have certified H-1B1 positions in the state.
Which cities in Wyoming have the most aerospace and defense H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs?
Cheyenne is Wyoming's primary aerospace and defense employment center, driven by F.E. Warren Air Force Base and the contractors that support it. Casper and Laramie occasionally see defense-adjacent engineering and technical roles, but sponsorship activity outside Cheyenne is limited. Chilean nationals targeting H-1B1 positions in Wyoming should focus job searches on the Cheyenne metro, where contractor density and specialty occupation roles are most concentrated.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship?
Roles that qualify for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship must meet the specialty occupation standard, requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In aerospace and defense, qualifying positions commonly include systems engineers, software engineers, aerospace engineers, cybersecurity analysts, and program managers with technical degrees. General labor, logistics coordination, or administrative support roles typically do not qualify. O*NET occupation profiles can help confirm whether a specific job title meets the specialty occupation threshold.
How do I find aerospace and defense H-1B1 Chile sponsorship jobs in Wyoming?
Migrate Mate filters job listings by visa type, letting Chilean nationals search specifically for H-1B1-eligible aerospace and defense positions in Wyoming. Because the H-1B1 Chile is a niche category, many employers are unfamiliar with it, so Migrate Mate's employer sponsorship history data helps identify contractors who have filed Labor Condition Applications for H-1B1 roles. Focusing on F.E. Warren Air Force Base contractors in the Cheyenne area increases the likelihood of finding relevant openings.
Are there state-specific or industry-specific considerations for H-1B1 Chile sponsorship in Wyoming?
Wyoming's small professional labor market means fewer H-1B visa1 Chile filings overall compared to states with larger defense corridors. Federal security clearance requirements common in aerospace and defense can complicate sponsorship timelines for foreign nationals, as clearance eligibility and visa status intersect in ways employers evaluate carefully. Chilean nationals should confirm an employer's familiarity with the H-1B1 category specifically, since many Wyoming contractors default to H-1B processes and may need guidance on the H-1B1 Chile as a distinct, no-lottery alternative.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Chile aerospace & defense jobs in Wyoming?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
