Mid Level Addiction Psychiatrist Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level addiction psychiatrist job?
Position yourself around clinical independence and subspecialty depth. Highlight your ability to manage complex co-occurring disorders without close supervision, your experience with medication-assisted treatment protocols, and any roles where you led care coordination or supervised residents. Tailor your CV to show measurable patient outcomes and ownership of clinical decisions, not just participation in a team.
Which companies hire mid level addiction psychiatrists?
Companies hiring mid level addiction psychiatrists right now include Medical University of South Carolina, Mon Health, and Essen Health Care, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level comes from a mix of health systems, behavioral health networks, community mental health centers, and private group practices seeking clinicians who can carry an independent panel.
Are there remote mid level addiction psychiatrist jobs?
Yes, though most roles still involve some in-person or hybrid components given the clinical nature of addiction psychiatry. About 0% of mid level addiction psychiatrist openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with telehealth platforms and large integrated health systems driving much of that availability.
How do I move up to a mid level addiction psychiatrist role?
The path from early-career to mid level is built on demonstrated clinical independence over time. Focus on deepening your expertise in specific treatment modalities, taking on patient panels with fewer supervising touchpoints, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and seeking out opportunities to precept medical students or residents. Measurable impact in these areas signals readiness for mid level responsibility.
