Mid Level Health And Safety Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level health and safety manager job?
Position yourself around ownership and outcomes, not just tasks. Highlight programs you led, audits you conducted independently, and measurable improvements in incident rates or compliance scores. Certifications like CSP or CHST strengthen your candidacy. Tailor your resume to show that you can run a safety function with minimal supervision, not just support one.
Which companies hire mid level health and safety managers?
Companies hiring mid level health and safety managers right now include Environmental Resources Management, Miracorp, and Amazon, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Employers at this level tend to cover large industrial operators, construction firms, and manufacturers that need experienced safety professionals to manage site programs without constant senior oversight.
Are there remote mid level health and safety manager jobs?
Yes, though many roles in this field are site-dependent. About 9% of mid level health and safety manager openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, and those positions typically focus on systems management, reporting, and policy work rather than hands-on site inspections.
How do I move up to a mid level health and safety manager role?
Growth from entry level into mid level comes from taking on progressively larger scopes of work. Build toward owning a full compliance program, leading root-cause investigations, and training junior staff. Earning a recognized certification like CSP or OSHA 30 signals technical depth. Employers want to see that you have driven measurable safety outcomes, not just followed procedures.
Which industries hire the most mid level health and safety managers?
Mid Level health and safety manager roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Consulting & Professional Services, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because high-hazard operations, regulatory scrutiny, and complex worksites require experienced safety professionals who can manage programs independently.
