AI Research Scientist Jobs in Austin, TX

INTRODUCTION

We are looking for an experienced AI/ML Engineer Specialist to support modernization initiatives by designing, developing, and deploying AI-enabled digital solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in software engineering, cloud-native development, AI/LLM integrations, automation, APIs, DevSecOps, and enterprise application delivery. This role will work closely with business teams and technical stakeholders to build secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop AI-powered applications, APIs, automation tools, and cloud-native solutions
- Build prototypes and production systems using modern engineering practices
- Integrate LLMs, internal services, and data platforms
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices
- Work with React/Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#
- Support cloud architecture, security, and enterprise integrations
- Mentor teams and drive AI adoption through best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills:
- 8+ years software engineering experience
- Cloud platforms & modern application development
- API integrations & AI/LLM workflows
- React, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or C#
- GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes
- Security frameworks (NIST, Zero Trust, TX-RAMP)
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred:
- Experience with government, regulated environments, AI agents, RAG workflows, DevSecOps, and cloud certifications.

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
