BACKGROUND
Trinity University is a secular, independent, private institution, founded in 1869. Trinity offers high-quality science, liberal arts, and pre-professional programs as represented by the four schools (STEM, Arts & Humanities, Social Science and Civic Engagement, and Business) to approximately 2,500 undergraduate students from the U.S. and more than 45 countries. The attractive campus overlooks downtown San Antonio, a city rich in heritage and ethnic diversity. Additional information can be found on the Resource Guide to Trinity & San Antonio.
The Michael Neidorff School of Business is accredited by AACSB International. Students can choose from six academic majors and several minors. An MS in Accounting is also offered. Housed in the newly renovated Chapman Center, the Michael Neidorff School of Business features state-of-the-art facilities to spur discovery, excellence, and inclusion. After undergoing a $33 million renovation, its reopening represents one of the final brush strokes in Trinity’s bold envisioning of its future. With dedicated work spaces for each department in the School, the new Chapman Center supports faculty’s teaching and scholarship.
The Department of Finance and Business Analytics offers two undergraduate majors—Finance and Business Analytics—and is home to 13 dedicated faculty committed to teaching excellence and student success. The Business Analytics group, a close-knit team of 7 faculty supporting about 50 majors, delivers a rigorous and applied curriculum grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Students gain hands-on experience through industry sponsored projects and national analytics competitions that connect classroom learning to real-world business analytics. The department fosters a collaborative, student-centered environment that emphasizes teaching innovation, student career readiness, and the integration of finance and analytics.
Both the Department of Finance and Business Analytics and the University as a whole value and safeguard academic freedom for faculty members in their teaching and scholarship.
