Entry Level Android Developer Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level android developer job?
Build two or three Android apps and publish them to the Google Play Store or a public GitHub repository before you apply. Entry level hiring managers want to see working code, not just a degree. Internship experience helps, but a polished portfolio project that solves a real problem can carry just as much weight. Tailor your resume to each posting and highlight Kotlin, Java, and Android SDK skills explicitly.
Which companies hire entry level android developers?
Companies hiring entry level android developers right now include Arsiem, Excyl, and THEMESOFT, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, you'll find openings at startups building consumer apps, mid-size software firms, and larger enterprises expanding their mobile teams alongside experienced developers.
Are there remote entry level android developer jobs?
Yes, though remote availability varies by employer and role type. About 25% of entry level android developer openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, so fully on-site roles still make up a meaningful share of the market. Hybrid arrangements are common at companies that want junior developers to collaborate in person during onboarding.
Are these new grad android developer jobs?
Yes, many of these postings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome candidates with little or no professional experience. A new grad friendly posting typically accepts zero to two years of experience, counts internships or co-ops toward that threshold, and treats a strong portfolio as a substitute for paid work history. Look for language like 'new grads encouraged' or 'no prior experience required' in the job description.
Which industries hire the most entry level android developers?
Entry Level android developer roles concentrate in Technology & Software and Consulting & Professional Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they ship new mobile features frequently and rely on junior developers to build, test, and maintain app functionality under senior guidance.
