Entry Level Billing Clerk Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level billing clerk job?
Employers hiring entry level billing clerks look for basic familiarity with invoicing software, spreadsheets, and data entry accuracy. Coursework in accounting, a community college certificate, or even an internship processing invoices signals readiness. Tailor your resume to highlight any experience handling numbers, reconciling records, or working with billing systems, and apply directly to roles that list zero to two years of experience as acceptable.
Which companies hire entry level billing clerks?
Companies hiring entry level billing clerks right now include Guardian Pharmacy, FNS, and Albany Medical Center, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Healthcare providers, staffing firms, and logistics companies are among the most consistent employers at this level, as their high invoice volume creates steady demand for junior candidates who can be trained on internal systems.
Are there remote entry level billing clerk jobs?
Yes, though on-site roles still dominate at the entry level. About 36% of entry level billing clerk openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so remote options exist but are less common than they are for more experienced candidates. Searching by work setting lets you focus on the arrangement that fits your situation.
Are these new grad billing clerk jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior billing clerk roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts internships or coursework in lieu of full-time history, or mentions on-the-job training. If a role explicitly lists a minimum of three or more years, it falls outside the new grad range.
Which industries hire the most entry level billing clerks?
Entry Level billing clerk roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Consulting & Professional Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Those sectors generate large, recurring invoice volumes that require dedicated billing support, making them reliable sources of junior openings for candidates building their first professional experience in accounts and billing operations.
