We are looking to expand our Cardiology services by adding a motivated Cardiologist looking to make a difference in our community. Our Cardiology mission is to provide evidence-based cardiology care in a value-based setting. We offer both full-time and flexible schedules to find the right talent for the right opportunity.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Monday to Friday schedule with no call
- 100% outpatient with no hospital rounding
- Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns
- Initiating tests, treatments, and when necessary, referring for procedures
- Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, test results and treatment plans
- Performing tests, when needed, to check the health of patients' hearts and/or cardiovascular systems
- Interpreting test results to determine how effectively the heart and/or cardiovascular system is functioning
- Using medical imaging equipment, such as CT and MRI scanners, to diagnose and treat heart and/or cardiovascular conditions
- Assisting and/or performing surgery which may include complex surgical interventions that require a team of medical professionals
- Prescribing medication to treat heart and other cardiovascular disease
- Providing support and advice to patients and families receiving long-term care
- Training and providing educational support to junior staff and colleagues

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Unrestricted Medical Licensure in the State of New Mexico or ability to obtain prior to start
- Active and unrestricted DEA license or ability to obtain prior to start

The salary range for this role is $393,000 to $735,000 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
